Atmospheric and emotional
Shaun Coffman is a self-taught artist from a small town outside of Houston, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches City, Texas and studied in the fields of human and social sciences. At the age of 21, he was introduced to art, and on that day, he found his passion.
Since that day, Shaun has been creating realistic images that evoke pure emotion. "ShonB. is somehow able to put his subjects’ soul on to canvas." DiverseWorks
Shaun B.'s style can be described as fine art with an edge. His content ranges from extremely beautiful subjects to those that are extremely taboo.
He has an eye for the things that provoke thought. It is in the way he translates his vision. From his portraits of pregnant women to his series of black face paintings, a specific feel surrounds each piece. Currently he is working on a series of painting entitled "American History Black" for an upcoming show.
With his growing passion for art, there will be great things to come from Shaun B. “I don't expect everyone to love my art, but within everyone of my pieces there is a degree of love, hurt, pain, and joy; and that is what I want people to realize. I want my art to evoke a feeling. I want them to know that I love and that I hurt through my vision."
